1989 SP driveline seal problems

Hello all,

I have a 1989 SP with a leaking driveline seal. It was recently installed and does not look like the original. The new one is a 1 piece and the original was 2 seals and a needle bearing. When looking for parts I see the one piece offered for 1990 and the 3 pieces offered for the 1989. One online scource show the 1 piece for the 1989 SP. Can this be used? The one that was installed has backed out towards the motor and is leaking.

cant visualize whats happening, but if you plan on keep'n for awhile, upgrade to carbon ring assy(if applicable), no bearing/s to freeze up onyah. For now,loos'n up clamps, see if their misaligned or hung up, then tighten. Can fill back of ski with water,keep'n trailer tomgue higher than back, and watch where it leaks...

sounds like you need to loosen up the clamps and slide it back where it belongs and retighten. always try the free stuff before buying parts.
