180 SP knocking noise at idle

I have a Sea Doo 2012 180SP that is experiencing a consistent knocking noise at Idle speeds that disappears as I accelerate. The engine starts and runs fine, seems to have full power. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the jet pump bearings? It could be a lower end engine issue but I’d start with the jet pump and rule that issue out first.

Well, this is embarrassing! Found out we didn’t have our ladder hooked down properly. Embarrassing but a great relief so if anyone has a similar issue, check to make sure you have your ladder secured. Thank you for your help.

Nice, we love those simple problems! Yeah our ladder is noisy too and the boat tells us about it when we forget it’s down.
