150 4-tech sportsters - service

So these little yellow rockets are really checking off the boxes for me...
Low tow weight
High fun
Boat rather than pwc

I am having trouble wrapping my head around service. It is my understanding that many pwc shops won't service older (10 years?) motors.

My mech skills are med-low. Better to pass on 200X sport boats?

I have a 2011 Speedster 255. I love my Speedster as it fits the mission for me of a tube pulling we ha machine for my girls.

Mine will not need to go to a shop as my mechanic skills are very good. For this, I am biased.

I can't understand the comment that many will not service them? The 1503 4-tech is probably the most common PWC engine platform out there. The engines are not specific to the boats, they are the same ones run in the PWC's.
