I am shopping for a new jet pump housing for my 97 GTI. Basically who ever had it before me hit something so they replaced the impeller with Skat 16/21. Problem is a bent driveshaft went un noticed and caused the plastic pump to stretch at the insert.
I can buy used bronze pump and swap everything from the old into the new housing. However, the 2001 GTI with 717 use the newer large hub 140mm pump and appear to have a OEM version of a Skat impeller with radial leading edges.
I could buy complete 140mm large hub setup and sell my mint condition 16/21 small hub Skat & near new impellor shaft (rebuilt pump internals over the winter) too help recover the cost.
I use the Sea doo to tow my teenage son and value the low end thrust. Any thoughts or opinions?
