Hello everyone.

I recently have acquried water damage to my boat. Long story short, i was gone for a couple months and had someone watching my boat for me. Unfortunately they forgot to unscew the drain plugs and when i returned to take my boat out for a run i had water halfway up the engine bay and the center storage compartment for my wakeboarding gear was like a bathtub.

I drained all the water out installed the battery (which only if i knew this would happen the auto bilge pump would of saved me) turned the key to on and had no power to the guages. I then decided to see what would work. The lights interior and exterior would come on. The fan and bilge pump would not come on but would power up the guages as it should of when i turned the key on. Was not sure why that was. Of course the engine would not try and trun over as well. I checked all the fuses and none of them seemed to be bad. Also, replaced the battery with a new one because the parts store said my current one had some bad cells.

I have taken it to my local dealer but they have had it for over 2 weeks withouteven looking at it. I wanted to see if anyone had any idea of the damage that might of been done.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Scott

Hope you took some pics.......depending on how high the water was, anything electrical, bad connections, blown fuses.

Fyi there was no problem so if anyone else sees water halfway up there engine dont freak out just let it dry out and it just might be good. The dealer even said he has seen boats come in that were flooded over the top of engine and once driee out fired right up.

Thanks anyways
