12 180 challenger temperatrue display

Does any one know what temperature shows up on the display, the engine or the exhaust?

Neither, it's water surface temp.

It's not water temperature since it always shows 180-200 degrees. It is under display settings.

On our 2012 it displays engine temps, not exhaust.............according to the manual.

My 2009 180SE shows surface water temp only, however overheating of either engine or exhaust will alarm & text will explain which .
