Hey everyone...I haven't been around much lately. Hope all is well with everyone.
I have a question about the 100 hour service....hopefully someone knows the answer. No speculation please...facts only. Thanks!
I am still under warranty until 2012, I am at 101 hours on a 2007 RXP 215. My oil was last changed at 77 hours which was the end of last season before I put it in storage (Late October). My dealer has told me that I do not need the 100 hour service to maintain my warranty. My SC has never been rebuilt and I never changed out the washers (please don't tell me to do this, I have rode this thing like a rental for 101 hours, if they were going to go they would have gone by now).
My question is this: Do I need to do the 100 hour service to maintain warranty coverage? Has anyone heard of someone not doing this service and then being refused a warranty claim?
Please no speculation as I have been told by my dealer that I don't need to do it (why would he refuse to take my $800?). All he said is that I need to do the 10 hour service and change the oil every 100 hours. So the only time I would need to service it more than once a season is if I could put 100 hours in one summer (I wish!).
Thanks!
Matt
