I was at an airport that made the History Channel list. St. Maarten, at least on the other side of the fence, last year. I took some pictures, I'll post them later.

LOL, Been there Lou. My sister in law lives in SXM. We ate at the Sunset Beach Bar(where your pics are from) at the end of the runway and watch the planes roll in. There was a twin prop coming in and he barely made it. Both engines cut out well before the runway(like over the ocean early) and then the landing gear was probably 8' off the top of the fence, then CRACK, both engine backfired and powered up. The crowd went nuts! It's like an airshow right there, awesome!

On another note, topless girls get free drinks there. Yes, we took the kids with us. LOL
