I am thinking about purchasing a new 2009 RXP in the next couple months. I got to looking and am wondering about maybe getting the 2009 RXP X instead. Is it worth the extra $1400?? Is there anybody that has ridden both or has one or the other? Any feedback would be appreciated!

More horsepower but they are restricted to 70 MPH anyway and the RXP will do that anyway I might just give you more of a jump off the line but I think it is wasted horsepower but its all what you want and can afford.

What are you planning to do with it? Are you going to mod? RXP-X is intended to be more of a closed course racer it has way better holeshot then the rxp. but if you mod the rxp-x you cant go over 80mph because it overstuffs and will buck you off do to the larger pump intake. So if your going to mod and want to go faster then 80mph the take the rxp, If your not going to do to many mods go with the RXP-X.

Both skis will top out around 68-69mph but if you change the intake grate you can see up to 3mph. R&D grate is the fastest one.

No I am not really planning any mod on it, just for recreation. I had, or have I should say, an 08 GTI SE, but want more horsepower. Also, will a R&D intake grate help top end, or will it help the holeshot as well? Thanks for the information-

Not so much hole shot but it will give you better hook-up in choppy water and increase top speed. If your not concerned with top speed go with the WORX intake grate has it has the best hook-up, it will still increase your top speed but not as much as the R&D will.

if your just a rec rider id choose the X

youll still out run an rxp/t and i like the finger throttle and handle bars on the x skis
