When I initially place the DESS key, the monitoring gauge lights all blink on the port engine, but on the starboard engine the Check Engine Light does not. The engines run fine and there’s no beeping afterwards, it’s just during that initial connection with the key that it appears not to be flickering on/off.

Is this something to be concerned for, or what can be causing this? Could this mean that if the engine indeed starts alerting that the light may not work?

Thanks for any advice.

Yes, the light not working or maybe even shorted could be your problem. In any case, it's not really anything to worry yourself with because these motors are totally computer controlled. If a problem is detected by your MPEM and ECU, they will take the necessary precautions by adjusting the engine, or restricting the RPM and send you an error code. So, unless your seeing or feeling a problem in that engine, I wouldn't worry to much about it.

It's probably something that you can fix. Why pay a dealer BIG $$$ if the guys here can talk you thru it?
Which dealer do you go for service?

Lots of guys on here in the Sarasota /Bradenton area.

I probably could fix it, but the boat is still under warranty and they do a great job at Destination Power Sports. I appreciate the guidance and will certainly take the offer once I have to pay for repairs.
