There seems to be two ways to winterize. One is to fill the engine from the flush port with antifreeze. This worrys me since it will dilute with the water in the engine. Is a gallon really enough? The manual doesn't say anything about this but says to blow out the water with compressed air from a plug on the pump. I have tried to find this plug but their crappy picture is no help. I would like to know where this plug is, a picture would be good. The tech manual only has the same info as the user manual for instructions and picture.

The idea of the gallon of straight anti-freeze is so it mixes with water in the engine. If it didn't mix, it wouldn't be any good as as it reacts with water to keep from freezing.

Why is antifreeze needed, the manual says that the non s/c engine exhaust is self draining??

It is self draining to a point...until a small amount of water is left in the exhaust and it freezes and causes an expensive repair.

What is the easiest way to add a/f to the exhaust in a non s/c system ? Would you put it in thru a hose into the flushing hook up & if so, how much to not over fill into the engine. My ski is already fogged & battery is out so I would rather not start it again. (first time self winterizing for me).
Thanks

Click on one of the links in my avatar for step by step winterizing....It don't get any simpler than that.
