08 challenger radio question

08 challenger se...
Just got it and radio was missing. There is just a factory harness there. Is there a universal radio harness I can purchase. I don't want splice wires. Or is there a radio that will fit for that plug.....

I don't know any aftermarket radio that would use the same plug. On both boats, i just cut the factory plug off then spliced my new wires to it. its really no big deal.

Yea I figured it wood come down to it...it's just much cooler to do in the garge on the back of the unit instead of in the boat...but that's owner ship lol....what unit could I use so that my wired remote on drivers side still worked?

I don't know what you had originally, but I'm guessing jensen. If it was me, i honestly would junk it all. There isn't a single jensen thats worth putting money into in my opinion. You can get a decent clarion and put in a new remote. The whole setup would probably be like 300 bucks.

I think the unit was clarion...the speakers are clarion and so is the wired remote

The remote looks new...if I can't get it to sync with another unit I'll do like u said and just get a new set up

If it is clarion, you are set. Most of their stuff thats newer, fits the same remotes. I have a m309 head unit and it has been awesome. You can find it for 165. Has usb for iPod, satellite ready, blue tooth, amp outputs...great for any future upgrades. Google MW1 and see if that is the remote you have, if so, the 309 would work for ya.

Mine is the mw2...just doesn't have the LCD screen....do you still think this would work? When I splice all the wires in there wil be something labeled for the remote.?

The mw2 will work with the m309 head unit. You should have a wire already from the remote to where the old head unit was. The wire should look like the pic i attached. The new head unit will have the plug coming off that goes to your existing cable. Plug it in and you remote will be good. Then use the existing wires on the boat to hook up to the harness of the new head unit. Its really easy. 2 power wires, which can be hooked together and a ground. then speaker wires and you are done. its really simple honestly.

Yea it's there...thanks for the help I'm going to see if I can find that unit 309...should I just order from clarion?

I think they have discontinued it...thats the last place id buy it. Just google it. I see it on ebay for 165 with free shipping.
