HI, ran boat today for 3 hours , did great. Now have been back for a couple of hours and can still here the bilge pump trying to pump water out but there is no water coming out. Manual switch has been turned off ,so I assume the automatic pump is keeping it on. Any suggestions to fix this?

Check the water sensing unit. It is most likely stuck. It will run your battery down quick too before it burns out the bilge pump.

1997........

Man, I hope they aren 't still using the same water sensor from 1997. This was the same problem I had with my Challenger. The sensor sits to low to the bottom of the hull, so it always stayed wet.

On the older models, it had to be wet for 10 seconds before it would come on and dry for 30 before it would go off. Mine ran constantly. I fixed it by relocating the sensor abover the pump about 3" from it's original position.

Rather than disconnecting the battery, you could just unplug the cable running to the pump, should have a quick-disconnect on it.
