My throttle control drops to idle if I let go. I assume this is functioning as designed, but it's pretty annoying. Does anyone know if there is an adjustment somewhere to make the throttle "stick" in its position?

Thanks

not sure how ur boat is set up but on mine (98 Sportster) there is a plastic screw with a spring and a "ball" up underneath the control handles that adjusts tension and helps sorta lock the throttle in position. I dunno if this will help u or not, cause it almost sounds like there is too much tension in ur cable itself. Good luck

I pulled the controls and found the spring and friction pad were missing. So I bought them online (took a week for them to ship the parts though) and installed them yesterday. Friction is now holding the throttle where I want. Very happy.
