It ran for about a mile down the ICW from the ramp and just locked up. Won't turn over even with pump and SC removed. Mechanic took 30 minutes to get the #1 spark plug out and says he can see rust in the #1 cylinder. An SBT long block is $3300, plus $1200 labor, plus misc. Wife says, "Sell it!"

It looks very good, always garaged. Factory cover. New factory Bimini. Clarion stereo. Trailer has some rust, but good tires.

Any idea what it is worth unfixed?

Need more info...is the boat in nice shape,,.compare your costs to a new one,,,are you mechanical.,,do you have an engine joist,,,do have lots of time?

As I said, "It looks very good, always garaged". But, that is moot: The shop bought it as-is. Done.

Great question. If it had a new rebuilt engine on it, and is as clean as you say, it could sell for USD 12K to 15K in this crazy market. To figure the price broken, I would subtract the cost of professional repairs, call it 5K, then subtract the buyers risk premium of 5K (an amount that represents the risk he is taking in buying a broken boat). That leaves a sales price between 2K and 5K.
