Hey guys, just signed up premo for manual downloads.

Couple of questions:

Is anyone draining thier fuel tanks for winter? I hear the Ethanol is killing hoses and fiber tanks as well as causing all kinds of meheim in other marine systems, I/O ect..?

Are there step by step proceedures other than in the shop manuals for replacing the wear rings & or Props

Finally(I havent dug into the manuals yet)-Do the 4stroke engines(whats in my supercharged speedster) need fogging? Hose filling burping and pinching
as Im seeing in some disussions?

Thx guys!

Yeah, you need to fog your engine. The wearing ring replacement is really easy. You have a 2005 though, so I don't see a need in replacing it now!.....unless you've damaged it. You don't have to worry about the prop, since the Seadoo's don't use them, so your off the hook there.

The only thing you have to winterizie on the 4-TEC is the open loop system. Your intercooler will need to have about 6 or 7 ounces poured in it and the exhaust manifold will need about 10. Then, just reconnect the upper hose. No need to burp .........just fill, and reconnect........

Not saying that ethanol will cause you any problems. But just remember this. Water craft built before 2007 were not designed to run on ethanol. Used in small amounts ethanol shouldn’t cause any major problems.

With todays current gas having 10% or less of ethanol you don't have anything to worry about as long as you stabilize the fuel that is all that really matters so the octane doesn't break down.
