is it bad to run 87 octane in a 05 gtx sc or do we have to run 89 in it we have been running 87 for 3 years.

Welcome to the seadoo forum 05gtxsc. No the only reason you would need to run a higher octane is if it was experiencing detonation. Then it would need more octane to keep it from doing that, which would put a hole in the top of the piston, if you didn't use the higher octane.
