I have a 05 GTX limited with a new motor (last year) and new battery (lithium). Last Saturday it was turning over but would not start, so I put a jumper on battery to see if it would turn over faster and start and it did. Ran fine all day. Next day started right up, turned off at gas dock and would not start even with jumper. Put on trailer cleaned battery cables and put in new spark plugs and started right up. (plugs were already new this year) Plugs were pretty wet. Took to boat ramp, started right up, drove to house. Later started right up took for a ride, turned off at beach and would not start again. Tried and tried and finally started. Drove home, turned off and tried to start to flush out and hard starting again.
When it is not starting it keeps thinking it is starting right away so starter turns right off and have to keep pushing start button.
when running, rpm are good and full power
no alarms, or codes
did notice coolant was low and filled up to max and after riding was down to min level

Please help
Seadoo dealer out 3 weeks just to look at it

Just some thoughts… seems like the starter is engaging, turning the engine over on each attempt, based on your comments. So the starter relay and starter seems to be good, except for your comment that the starter turns off… The battery is new, wouldn’t anticipate an issue, but it is a slight possibility. I think you need to check your cables for tightness first, and where your ground attaches and positive cable attaches to the starter. After that, it gets more complicated with making sure you don’t have corroded battery cables. And then some additional diagnosis will be needed around the battery voltage to make sure it has sufficient voltage for turning over and firing coils and injectors.

Sounds like it’s cranking fine, but not getting good spark when it’s hot. Have you checked the coil packs are good?

no, I has thinking about just changing all 3 since not sure how to check them.
This is the process for 2020 machines. Can’t say how much variation there will be with your craft…

Also get the battery drop/load tested to make sure it’s holding sufficient voltage > 10V while cranking.

When you hit the start button and then it stops cranking thinking its started, is the display still on?

I do not have the buds2 or ecm adapter so I just ordered 3 new coil packs and will see if that makes a difference this weekend. Just do not understand if one was bad once it starts why it runs great and no codes.

OK so I figured out that I have a blown head gasket. I did not want to loose the summer so I figured I had nothing to loose so I put in a bottle of sealer in the coolant. It seamed to fix the issue as it now starts right up after riding and when turned off starts back up every time. I am not getting any warning lights or codes. I am wondering why the head gasket would of blown since engine was just rebuild last year. It also seams to me to be very hot in the engine compartment (maybe sensor is not working)? After a hard run Saturday the oil light came on and put me in limp mode for about 3 min and then went away, when I got back to dock checked oil and was clean and filled.

Weird symptoms. The oil pressure sending switch is underneath the throttle body area. Pull off the connector and see if there is oil in the connector. If there is, then replace the switch. You don't have to take the throttle body off like the manual says, you can get to it with a deep socket once you take the intake hose of the throttle body. My WakePro 215 had an issue that it would get low oil pressure indication, but it had pressure, the switch was bad since it is essentially on or off, it isn't measuring oil pressure, in my case it was sticking. Buy an OEM switch though, some of the cheap ones you see aren't the correct ones.
