I had my Seadoo treated for water intrusion at 107 hours. A $3.00 clamp caused the problem and my son knew enough not to start the engine.
I had it serviced by an approved dealer and was told I was lucky - no significant damage.
At 110 hours the engine would not start and "MAINT" symbol came on display. The dealer is telling me that one of the valves dropped and that I need a new engine.
I am wondering if the dealer did everything to protect the engine and the mechanic is telling me that the '05's were not very reliable. I probably do not ride as much as most of you but only getting 110 hours out of an engine seems ridiculous to me.
Any suggestions in dealing with servicing dealer or Seadoo or other?
