05 GTI cuts out at high speed when warm.

Hey Guy's I am brand new to the forum !
Wow what a great site.
My 2005 GTI runs and Idles great until about 5 minutes into a
full throtle ride ,then it starts to slow down and bog out or even
starts to cut out .When you let up on the throtle it returns to
normal with lots of power for a few seconds and the bogs down
again.
I have changed the oil filter also emptied the fuel filter bowl a few times as well. I thought maybe water in the fuel. It has new spark plugs too.
It seems to run great when cold or running around at half throtle .
It only starts to cut out at full throtle and after a few minutes.

Is there some sort of fuel mixture safety sensor or temp sensor cutting it out on purpose ?? Bad exiter coil ?

hey...if you havn't done already, gone thru carbs?, make sure gas tank is venting and no exhaust leaks.
..if all good in those areas, disconnect the red wire from rectifier, see if runs better, if so, replace it..:cheers:
