I was running the boat the other day and was going half to ¾ throttle on a plane and all of the sudden the jet propulsion felt like it stopped but the engine RPM’s didn’t die out. I immediately pulled back on the throttle and came to a stop then tried to get back on a plane but the engine would rev but the jet propulsion would not increase. It seems to pump water fine at low RPM’s but not much after that.

Thanks for the help!

The obvious answer would be that you sucked something into the pump. Weeds or garbage. I would guess you checked the pump for debris already though. Did you take a look once you pulled it out of the water?

Good luck.

x2. Don't run it any more before you figure this out. The engine's cooling system depends upon water flowing through the jetdrive, so if your flow is blocked you're also possibly not cooling the engine properly.

I found a small piece of wood like the size of my pinky jammed in the intake side prop. Thanks for the help!

That's good news. Next time you take it out, have someone else drive while you sit on the swim platform and confirm that water is coming out of the "pee hole" back there. At anything above idle it should be a steady stream, and as the engine warms up it should get warm too. This confirms you have cooling water passing through the engine.
