Hi all, new to this forum and looking for some help while on vacation. Night our 04 sportster last year ran fine. Stored since last fall. Started great, drove 8 hours to our family cabin in the sierras, dropped it in the water, started just fine but couldn't get the throttle to move AT ALL. Idled over to the dock, took it apart couldnt see any obvious cause of the jam. No one up here works on boats. Any advice to save our vacation??

my F>N>R lever is stiff, because the wire inside is corroded. sometimes i'll put it in forward, but it wont fully be in forward. to fully put it in Forward so that i can move the throttle i have to pound on it until it moves 1mm forward, then i can move the throttle. Your boat may be doing the same. If not, your throttle wire is visible on the top of the engine, play with that.
