Hey all,

I've got my sportster/4tec all back together and installed. When I press the start button I get nothing ... Here is what I've done to troubleshoot so far. As usual any help is super appreciated.

1. Battery 12.36V (even swapped battery)
2. Start/Stop button has continuity when pressed (checked with multimeter)
3. Shorted terminals on starter relay (engine will crank)
4. I get two beeps when I put the lanyard on but when start button pressed I don't get the starter relay to close.
5. I swapped starter relays with know good and still have the problem.
6. I checked all fuses

This was just put back together so I went through all connections on wiring harness and they appear to be in the right spot and seated correctly.

I'm stumped!

Thanks again dennis,

I got it sorted out by fixing the connection at the solenoid, I had bent contacts that didnt make contact with the relay coil of the solenoid. A tiny slot screwdriver worked to bend the contacts ... It runs!!!

:hurray:
