04 sportster le di won't go past 5200rpm

Hey guys, just bought an 04 sportster le di. It's been at the shop for 2 weeks. Everything has been checked and changed to make the motor run. Mechanically everything should be good. It revs clean on the trailer but won't get over 5200rpm under load. It starts to sputter. Mechanic figures it could be a wiring problem. Has anyone had similar problems and if so whatd you do to fix them?

Well they have to be to a certain extent. It runs, it idles, it hits the rev limiter on the trailer. It's only when its under load in the water that it takes a crap. Fuel pressure is 110, air pressure is around 90.

The mechanic thinks he found the problem. Crack in the air pump letting water into the fuel rail. Not sure ifnthe new fuel pump is OE or not. He has a big stock of seadoo OE parts.
