Does anyone how to tell the difference between the 04 Speedster 200 310 hp 1st edition and 2nd edition?

New to the Seadoo world, looking to replace the wear rings to get more jump out of the hole, what other things should i be doing while its apart?

Never mind i found out the difference:

1st edition '04 has a primary and a secondary metal can muffler per engine, and the exhaust outlet on the hull points downward, outside of the pump cavity on the transom. The 2nd edition uses a plastic resonator instead of a metal can for the secondary muffler, and the exhaust exits the hull within the pump cavity of the transom, pointing horizontally at the jet pump body.

You can tell 1st vs 2nd edition just by looking at the transom. The photo below is a 1st edition boat I saw at a January '04 boat show. The boat, according to the HIN, was made in December of '03. My boat is a second edition '04, and it was built in February of '04. Mine has little dimples in the hull where the 1st edition exhaust outlets would have been drilled.

Check your carbon rings and maybe replace the impellers for better hole shot. Good luck getting those long bolts out of the reverse bucket. If they were like mine all of them snapped off. Major PITA!!
