04 Islandia 250 Optimax- Smoke While Running

First real season with an 04 Islandia that has a 250 Optimax. Had it out all weekend long and seemed to be running great. I did notice that there is some smoke coming out while running it. Didn't know how much, if any is considered normal. Definitly had more smoke when pulling the kids on a tube. Interested in hearing from others what is "normal".

What oil are you using? I run the quicksilver DFI oil. And I get NO smoke at all. Hours on engine? Original plugs?

As above... the Opti normally runs clean.


Make sure you use DFi oil... and make sure your fuel is fresh.

thanks for the replies. it was my first time out for the season. wondering if it might be fuel related as it was the tank that set over the winter with fuel stabilizer (i had added probably a 1/2 tank of fresh fuel with it though). i will check the oil and make sure to use DFi when i need to add some. i don't know for sure but am guessing it may be the origional plugs
