Big Trouble

I just bought the boat yesterday, and took it out for the first time yesterday. The boat hasn't been run for over a year, and stumbled a little at first but cleared up once I ran it for a while, then ran great. But I have a problem with the tachometer. It's not working. Can anyone give me an idea of where to start my troubleshooting? I checked the fuses at the mpem, but they all were good. Has anyone had a similar problem?
