Hey,
I just picked up a 2003 GTX 4-Tec with 85 hours on it. Upon purchasing, I had a new battery and solenoid put in, along with an oil change at the local Sea Doo dealer.

Today, I took it out on the water for the first time. My brother took it for the first spin and came back with no problems. I get on and bring it up to 45 mph a few times, pull a few 360's and get a decent amount of pitch on some.

All of the sudden, the OIL message and warning light/buzzer goes off. After reading the manual it seems like the ski was in Creep Home Mode, I couldnt get about 10 mph and if I gave it too much gas the rpms would cut.

Any ideas whats going on? I'm thinking its either a sensor or the dealer put too much oil in the ski. Before we went out I checked the oil and it was filled to the very top of the bend in the dipstick, there was no oil on top of the engine.

After pulling it in, I checked the oil again and it seemed to be the same if not a little higher, but there was oil in the divots on the top of the engine.

Thanks for any help,
Scott

Welcome to the seadoo forum Scott. For future questions you might want to add you seadoo model and year to you avatar, so it is easier to tell exactly what seadoo you are talking about. Use mine as an example.
Typically, the oil should be in the middle of the bend between the low and High mark on the dip stick. Of course be sure the seadoo is level and is warmed up a bit to get an accurate level. If you just bought it, I would bring it back for the dealer to look and correct the problem.
The dealer can plug in the seadoo and see what is causing the problem from his B.U.D.S.,(Bombardier Utility Diagnostic Software) program. Let us know if we can help out any more. If the dealer isn't willing to help out, we'll give you ideas on what to check out to cure the problem.

I think my tech had me replace both the switches for oil when we redid the Supercharger. Those often fail and mine was throwing oil into the intakes, as I understood it.
