When I accelerate hard I’m getting a lot of cavitation like I can get full revs with not much movement so you think it’s a carbon seal leaking air or a wear ring I was told it was new when I purchased this ski last year

Sorry I can't be a lot of help but if the wear ring is really brand new and this was your first time out, it may need to be worn in a little but otherwise, can't really be more help. On one of my old skis, it felt like it took a few hours for the wear ring to be right.

The 2003 gtx 185 with the plastic pump is a flawed design and will eat wear rings in no time. They changed to the aluminum pump in 2004 which solved the problem. Buy an aluminum pump and a new wear ring and it will solve your problem.
