03 GTI LE RFI Speedometer

Hey guys when i power up and get the 2 beeps my speedometer jumps up to 15 mph and stays there. once powered up it never goes back to 0 it works after that but after stopping it goes back to 15 and 0 when off. Any ideas why Bad speedometer maybe? thanks

Used Speedos are cheap. Just make sure you get the one that matches your ski and the rest of the instruments.

I didn't change the speedometer out this is the original one that just started doing this.

My reference was that you can buy a used speedometer for an inexpensive price and replace the one you have. It is very likely broken. What is happening to yours is what they do when they fail.
