I am trying to figure out my fuel gauge problem. It is not giving a reading.
I have checked the sending unit and get a reading of 90.4 to 2.2 ohm's. I hooked it up while out of the ski and made the float move up and down but still got no reading. What am I doing wrong or is my gauge bad?

Gage test...

You have a plug with two wires on it connected within a few inches of the fuel baffle.

Disconnect that connection and take a short piece of wire, stripped at both ends. Bend that wire as a "U" and stick it into the plugged end that leads back to your fuel gage. Now, put the lanyard on. If the gage is good, the power supply should send that gage needle back up to full.

Then, you'll know the problem is in your sending unit. There is a sticky somewhere here for testing that baffle and replacing the fuse link if you need to.

just cause

:agree: but wanted to be a big man and prove i knew somethin.. you dont need the landyard on to test the guage its somethin that always works.. the fix on the baffle can be done I have the worst steady hand there is and i was able to fix mine:cheers:
