01 seadoo gtx millenium edition sputtering

i have a 2001 GTX millenium edition and i took it out on the water yesterday and the maintenance light is flashing. So i brought it back to the trailer and it started sputtering and a dark gray smoke was coming out from the back of it. If anyone could help with my problem would be greatly appreciated. I also changed the spark plugs 2 months ago.

Probably time for a good carb cleaning and adjustment. Make sure you have the right plugs as well, NGK BR8ES, gap (.020 - .024 in)

the carbs were done about a year ago. i was wondering if it was a bad coil bc it seems like it is running like a vehicle when it is misfiring
