#1 piston is out of it after taking the head off. should I have a total rebuild? Can you pull the motor ahead far enough without removing the drive shaft or do you have to shuck it out to?

Upper end rebuild...?
You can do the upper end rebuild with the engine in the ski. It's a bit more difficult but the shop manual says it can be done.
You don't have a lot of info but, why was the cylinder removed..?
