Have a 01 challenger with merc 240 EFI. Getting a lot of white smoke on startup and during initial 10 mins of running. Have read it may be oil pump, seems like running rich, replaced plugs they were fouled - but not seeing excessive use via the oil reservoir. Any ideas?

White smoke? Normal 2-stroke smoke is kind of blue.

Are all plugs firing? What is your fuel pressure? Should be 36psi. When is the last time your injectors were serviced? What is your normal max rpm? Is your TPS working and adjusted properly? I am headed in the direction of the engine running rich.

On the oil pump- at idle, the pump arm should be at 9:00.
