It's direct drive. There is no low and no shifting. Please explain your problem.

Just kidding. Sounds like you could have a fuel delivery problem. Check the basics, kinked fuel lines, clogged filter, water in the fuel maybe could be bad plugs as well.
I always find looking at the basics a good place to start.

Hello. I am hoping I can help/get help here. Understanding that there is no "up shift", I am experiencing the same problem. Even when engine is warm:

From stopped, giving steady increase to throttle, RPMs rise to 7K very quickly, but speed is very slow and doesn't increase much at all for 30-45 seconds. Then, at 10-15 MPH and 7K RPMs, it feels like an up shift happens; RPMs drop to 2-3K and speed begins to increase fast. Normal engine sound and speeds then as long as you keep the speed up over 20 MPH.

Checked intake, impeller, etc. All seem clear. Fuel lines don't appear blocked or kinked.

I changed spark plugs already. I am going to try new fuel filter and fuel additive (for water removal) with next fill up today.

I changed plugs and it worked like a charm for about 15 min then back to the same old powerless / speedless jetski..................

I have grey fuel lines ect could this be part of the problem? does this sould like a fuel deliver issue?

I'm back to it not starting in the water but fine on the lift..................
