‘96 GTX 787 needle bearing question

Replacing the top end on my ‘96 GTX. Has anyone heard of one piston having 31 needle bearings and the other other side having 34? I was very careful removing the wrist pin and assumed I caught all of the bearings?

No, both are exactly the same although I don’t remember what the count is.

Sounds like I have 3 missing needle bearings. The service manual says there should be 34.

Where did you find them?

Two were laying on the bottom of the hull and the last one was laying on the floor. I must have dropped it when I was removing the rag from the crankcase.
