    Thank you for the reply. I will do that. I actually have a spare MPEM I purchased recently on ebay, swapped it in with the same result. Is a non-working IC a pretty definitive sign that the MPEM is fried? If so I am going to try to return it.

    One coil Resistance on the primary and secondary are within range - though I know it's not a definitive test.
