I was down for awhile when the fuel pump was failing to get 12 volts which required me to find a complete fuel pump assembly. Now it's developed a oil consumption issue that I think will wait until the off season for me to address.

I have noticed lately that if my ski (2000 GTX RFI) sits for a week or two a good amount of 2 stroke oil seems to get into my cylinders. The oil will be enough to foul out my plugs and when it does fire off it will put out a ton of smoke. Anyone else have an issue similar to this?

After much work thanks to ebay I got the parts that I needed to get it running. I did get one part from Minnetonka4me, for $60 he sent me the just the black plastic top of the fuel pump housing devoid of the wiring that I needed. His prices are high and when I questioned him about the tracking...

Upon some more digging I was able to isolate the problem as being the connector going into the fuel pump housing. I had very high resistance from the terminal to the pump. Does anyone know a source for the plug or will I end up having to locate another housing?

I ran into an issue that I can't seem to track down on my GTX. When I went to put it back on the trailer last week after spending the day on the water, my engine died and refused to restart. No biggie, I put her on the trailer and brought it home figuring it would start when got it home...

I just wanted to say thanks for all the very useful information in this thread. The one thread alone has been a lot of help for me with my ski.

I'm well aware of the issue of running premix in this machine and do NOT plan on doing so. I am going to put the system back on but can't find any good diagrams of how it was all on there.

With old 2 stroke street bikes I've owned, that was the route to go. Theory being if you got gas then you have to have oil. I'm happy to have gotten it running so quick after it had sat for years.

I have learned some things that I did not know already. I was lucky and got it to run on the hose earlier today but only after taking out my fuel pump which had so much trash in it. Fuel pump is running now but it has to be replaced along with re-installing the oil injection system.

I just purchased a 2000 GTX RFI that had been sitting up for awhile. The previous owner said they were having issues with the engine quitting and were told the fix was to remove the oil injection system and run premix. I had read in another thread that this is NOT a good option for this PWC...
