    If the battery passes a load test, then it could be that the rotary valve clearance is too large, This happened to me many many moons ago with a 580, thru the dealer I went thru 2 starters before it was diagnosed by a racer.

    I’m with big dog, pull the motor, split the cases, check the centre brass gear on the crank. Retime your rotary valve, Replace top end parts as needed Go through the carbs while they are out.

    Early Sea-Doo's are a nightmare to work on.

    Pull the motor Reseal the engine Retime the stator Replace the brushes on the starter while you have it out Replace top end parts as/if needed Retime the rotary valve Measure the rotary valve disc clearance Service the carbs That should put you on the right track.

    You are either cavitating, Are over propped Have compression issues I would also check that it is charging properly Load test the battery Change the plugs.
