    2012 Sea-Doo 210 Challenger SE 310 - Control Handle Stiff

It operates as a cable inside a sleeve. Over time they will corrode. You could have someone outside the boat in your driveway check to make sure the reverse gate/bucket is moving freely. You could also lube the hinge points back there too. I would also recommend opening the cover over the...

    2004 Sportster 155 Missing 1000 RPM

On this model, does the impeller shaft need to be aligned when reassembled? That could cause vibration at speed.

Project 2007 Sea Doo Challenger 180

I had a 2008 Sea-Doo 230 Wake, loved that boat! I’d suggest changing the oil cooler. I had one fail, miserable to clean once the oil mixes with the coolant. Also I’d check for corrosion of the DES wires that ground to the rear of the block and the main grounding wire on bottom of block that...

Yet Another Oil Change Question; 2022 GTR 230

I owned a 2008 Sea-Doo 230 Wake (boat) with two 215 HP engines…hope this helps. With such small oil volumes, a little oil added will move the oil on the dipstick more than you think. Second, I always had to add a little more after the oil change to account for what the new oil filter absorbed...

    DESS Post

So for anyone else out that experiencing this same problem...I had corrosion on the MPEM and ECU grounding connections on the face of the starboard side engine. The port side never cutout and of course there was no corrosion there. On my boat, there are three grounding connections involved...

    DESS Post

2008 SeaDoo 230 Wake Edition. While underway today a few different times the starboard engine would cut out, dead. If we turned both engines off, removed lanyard, reinstalled lanyard…I get the two beeps and she’s off again…for a short time then starboard cuts out again. Sometimes we don’t...

    SeaDoo 230 Wake

Actually you can...and it is part of the proper oil change procedure to get the oil up out of the crankcase...I have the 230 Wake in 430 HP...unless your engines are designed entirely differently you have two options. You can either have someone hold the throttle lever open (on the engine side...

    2014 Wake 155 Coolant Flush

I have the 230 Wake and just did this process. Love 3ft Deep channel…super helpful. My manual does not call for thread locker. It states that drain plug should be reinserted while coolant is streaming out. I suspect the dried coolant in the threads become it’s own aid to thread bite. I...

    Oil Cooler Question

Looks like it is 97.3 inch pounds for the oil cooler bolts and 73 inch pounds for the cooling plate plug (make sure you reinsert the plug while coolant is flowing)

    Oil Cooler Question

I am replacing the oil cooler, starboard side, on my 08 230 Wake Edition. I found oil in my coolant. Anyone know the torque spec on the 4 bolts that mount the oil cooler? The oil cooler flush mounts with only two small o rings creating a pressure seal. I would assume the torque specs matter...

No beep, no crank 2008 230 challenger wake

ski-d00 is correct. It must be programmed. And after that there is still a problem, these boats have a neutral control switch that prevents the boat from cranking unless the boat is in neutral. Mine failed last year. But I’d start with getting the programming done.

    Shift/Reverse Cable

Glad you found it! Yes, it’s a good idea to check the torque on those every year!

    Shift/Reverse Cable

Hey Mike, doesn't sound like your reverse gate is the problem based on what you have described. On my boat, there is an adjusting nut that sets the position of the reverse gate but when you are in forward, it should always be up in a full lock position. You should be able to confirm that with...

    flushed with engine off !

ski-d00 is right, you haven't likely harmed your boat...and I'll add though, your boat will still start and operate with your oil having been diluted with water. I would still do the oil and filter changes to ensure your oil is properly lubricating all the internals. The time and cost of doing...

    Carbon seal not sealing

Did you also replace what I call the "top hat" that stainless steel piece that forms the seal with the carbon ring? You should not have to polish anything. We replaced both of mine last summer...I have two 215 hp in my 230 Wake. I have also heard that if the shaft is not aligned properly...

    flushed with engine off !

I would do at least two oil changes. BGS is correct, without the pressure from the exhaust, water can back flow into the engine and mix with your oil. I would do two oil changes, including changing the oil filter both times.

2005 180 challenger having trouble starting

There are definitely more competent boat mechanics on here…hopefully one of them will see your post! Did you also replace your coils? How about your air filter? I know on my 2008 230 Wake, I have 2 215hp 4tec engines and my air filters are supposed to be cleaned each year. They are reusable...

    03 sportster 4tec 155 water in oil

Just for the sake of asking, when you are hooking up a hose when running the boat in your driveway, just confirming the hose isn’t on unless the engine is already running and that you turn the hose off before shutting off the engine?
