Ok I've got a parts list does it look ok?
Top end kit w/pistons
Rotary shaft assembly
Lower gaskets & crank seals
machining done on the cylinders and rv cover
And maybe a timing wheel. I might try the template deal if it works good.
What am I missing? Also where should I get the parts? not...
Also it seems like it might have happened due to tight tolerances in the rv cover. What all should I replace while I'm in there? Everything looks good as far as I can tell but compression is at 120. Should I be ok getting a gasket/seal kit w/rings and honing the cylinders? They still have...
No it wasnt converted. I was going to but realized it's got a good setup.
Anyways rv gear is toast. Havent pulled it yet but I've got brass shavings.
Can I pull it before splitting cases to check the shaft for damage? I'm splitting cases anyways I just want to order the parts today and...
Help! I thought the carbs were not working but then realized the rotary valve wasn't turning. I took off the rv cover to find that the rv is not moving at all when turning the engine by hand. And neither is the shaft it rides on.
That things supposed to spin with the motor right? Why...
This sounds identical to my problem I just asked about in another post. This was my post:
Can anyone tell me why it won't start? It cranks, sparks, ~120psi on both cyl, all fuel lines clear, and I disassembled the carbs to clean/inspect. They looked great. The plugs show nothin but oil. Why...
Can anyone tell me why it won't start? It cranks, sparks, ~120psi on both cyl, all fuel lines clear, and I disassembled the carbs to clean/inspect. They looked great. The plugs show nothin but oil. Why isn't the gas being drawn into the motor?
Ok any ideas on the oil in the hull? How should I get it out? Can I fill it with a little water and work the bilge pumps or something? I want it all out.
First off, Hi, I'm a new owner to anything watercraft. I'm not new to mechanics but this things got me a little confused. So all the fuel lines are grey and I read those should be replaced. I'm going to buy fuel line today.
On to my ?'s.
There appears to be oil in the hull. Only reason I...
