Not to hijack a thread or anthing. But i been running regular gl-5 75-90 gear oil in my 89 sp pump for a few months now and do far so good ... Does it have to be synthetic or ??? Maybe a dumb question but theres only a bearing and a few seals in there and i dont think theres anymore stress...

I run mine 32:1 since thats the only oil your engine gets. I just took the drive gear off the pump and left the pump on and oil in the tank for rotary valve lubrication. You will use more oil and dmoke more but its good for peace of mind at least. Just my .02

I agree with brock. I have the same ski . the switch with the red/ lightning bolt is for your lanyard .

Double check your fuel lines and be sure one is'nt hooked up wrong . I had the same problem after replacing lines and took me weeks to figure out it was my oen fault...
