Thank you for the detailed instructions they were very easy to follow. I did get the rod out and the magnet was rusted. I cleaned it and tested it like you suggested before putting it back together (thanks for that tip) but it did not work, I'm guessing that the magnet is just not strong...

magnet I see the magnet in the pic. but where is that rod the magnet sits in and how do you get to it.
