‘06 Challenger 180 SCIC 215hp check engine and oil temp light

It’s so tricky for these things but that does look pretty high. I think you’re supposed to start the engine and let it run for 10-20 seconds and shut it off for a min or two, then check it. But even at that, my oil level only fluctuates a tiny bit. You can siphon from the dipstick tube. Matter...

‘06 Challenger 180 SCIC 215hp check engine and oil temp light

I think buying a candoopro is a great idea anyway if you’re gonna own this thing for a while. (I did and am way happy with it) Just to ensure you’ve covered the basics though, engine oil level is ok right? Dipstick is in the cross hatch area? Could be a bad oil pressure sending unit if so.

    Which Speedster?

I don’t have a ton of experience with the other boat models outside what I bought. (2010 challenger 210se) but I did check a bunch of them out when I was shopping. Seems to me that you can’t really go wrong with the model, just a matter of size and features and whether you want one or two...

Oil Questions 2012 challenger 180 se supercharged

Weight doesn’t matter as much but usually the stuff you buy for these is 10w40 if I recall. Here’s the stuff I’ve been using and it’s done well for 2 seasons. It’s a little freaky to turn the engine over without oil, but the procedure calls for it so it all gets pumped out. Just unplug the...

Oil Questions 2012 challenger 180 se supercharged

It takes just under 3qt as long as you siphon everything out properly and roll the engine over and siphon more once it’s at the bottom. Either use the synthetic blend mentioned or amsoil makes one in a blue bottle they is compatible with the supercharged 4 Tec. You just can’t use a standard full...

Thinking about doing X chargers on my 2010 Seadoo Challenger 210SE

Nice boat! Yeah if it wasn’t as simple as bolting it on and changing the injectors, I will probably leave it stock.

Do you see a wear ring on my switch?

Ouch, might be. Even if it wasn’t, it looks like you need to replace it anyway. Looks pretty worn.

So, it’s not the same letter shown in the picture? You said those were new. If not, can you post a picture of it?

new impellers and wear rings RPM mismatch

More than a couple hundred RPM difference is probably concerning. Is your ITC not working? Usually, you can see a "SYNC" light on your dash to indicate that it's engaged and keeping the engines in sync. Mine lights up shortly after I am underway. This is assuming you're talking about your 2010...

Thinking about doing X chargers on my 2010 Seadoo Challenger 210SE

Hi folks, I am coming up on 2 years since my last supercharger service done by PWC Muscle, though I am only like 50 ish hours on the boat since then. I saw a deal on PWC muscle for the 255 X charger that seems fairly attractive since the supercharger service costs more than half the price of a...

    oil injection bypass

On top of the risk of starving your RV gears of oil if the seals leak, you will use way more oil and produce more smoke at wakeless speeds. I'd fix the tank. Some of these older tanks are 2 piece and leak at the joint, so I've just kept them about mid way full to avoid that.

    Well, got me another one!

Another impulse buy, figured it was too good of a price to pass up. 2001 rx di, this will be my second rx Di after buying my 2002 a couple years ago. 😂 I have to admit, I like this platform quite a bit. Dealt with carbs for years and am not mad about having fuel injection. Anyway, scored for...

    Low compression

I had a similar issue with mine. Pull the spark plug wire and put it on the grounding post on each cylinder to make sure it will run on each cylinder independently. If not, your weak cylinder might have something wrong with it. In my case, it was a shattered Reed valve. also, your air pressure...

2002 RX DI - Is this normal?

Thanks Gene, I did notice the water valve leaking too. I had an extra bellow so I fixed that up today and will check it now and keep tweaking it. Thanks again!

Blown up 2018 rxt-x 300 - what would you pay?

Thanks for the info. Yeah between all that, I’m thinking I’ll pass it up and keep working on my RX DI for now. Appreciate the imfo.

    RESTO Seadoo Direct Injection Question

I am still fairly new to the 951 DI platform as I have only owned my 2002 RX DI for a year or so. My understanding of the 951 is that BRP reduced the compression on the later models to reduce the stress on the engine and crank as they are already pretty tapped out for horsepower and have been...

2002 RX DI - Is this normal?

Hello folks, I am hopefully on the tail end of getting my 2002 RX DI project running the way I want. I just rebuilt the pump due to a leaking seal and bearings going bad, among a few other minor things. When I take it out, I can get it to about 51 (GPS) pretty easily on rough water. I am maybe...

Blown up 2018 rxt-x 300 - what would you pay?

I've been doing some research on everything I might need to rebuild or replace in a worst case scenario. Originally, I thought the supercharger was like the one on my 2010 challenger 210se where I could have pwcmuscle rebuild them for like $600, but I guess these are not servicable and just need...
