I would try glueing the tubes back on so they can't slip off. But do you know if the crack goes through to the side that holds the wear ring? As long as the wear ring is tight and not turning I would run it as is. Just keep an eye on it.

That is for a 4 stroke. Not sure what you are trying to do but that will not work on your 2 stroke. They have different diameter drive shafts.

It was a 92 XP. It did not have DESS. I know it is a simpler machine which will likely make the aftermarket part less prone to failure. But I have still read a lot of stories to avoid even for 92's.

Old does not mean it will crack. Lots of factors could play into the longevity of the plastic. But when it comes to these older machines, used is often the only way to go. In any case I hope you are able to resolve the problem and keep the boat going. Cheers.

Does the long beep happen on its own or when you hit the start button? On my 97 Challenger it meant it was not in neutral but you had to hit the start button to get the long beep.

I don't think the aftermarket impeller is an issue. But that gap between the wear ring and impeller at the widest point is too much. I'm not sure what would cause that. If there is an issue with the pump or if it as simple as a bad wear ring. Hopefully a member with more experience can...
