98 GTI gas gauge does not work I pulled out the sending its looks ok the magnets are still in place the float slides up and down fine But I get no ohm reading either when its at the top or bottom should I ? where should I look next ? thanks

98 won't crank well it will do nothing the starter does not engage no sounds at all after the two chirps and when you press the start botton nothing at all

just purchased a 1998 GTI put in a new charged battery and I put the key cap on it chipered two times and then pushed the start button nothing at all I did find a 5 amp fuse blown replaced it still does not crank 5 amp fuse still good has not blown again what now??? thanks
