Can an older impellar cause this also?

I did. I also bought the kit that had a bearing, shaft and Orings for the pump when I installed the wear ring. The carbon seal and boot, is this on the inside of the hull?

Should I replace the impellar too? This ski runs too good to give up on. Especially with the cost of a new one.

I believe I replaced the wear ring with a 140mm one.

I replaced the wear ring and the problem was still there. The clearance is minimal. It took a while to completely turn over when I put it back together.

I have a 95 xp that revs but will not take off. It takes a few minutes of revving the motor and feeling like it wants to surge before it eventually engages and takes off. The motor runs great. No issues there. Once it finally hooks up, it has lots of power and is still quick and responsive. Once...
