    Fuel Gauge

What makes you suspect the gauge? In my experience 95%of issues with the fuel gauges relates to sender units. My two xpl's both had bad f1 fuses in the sender and my challenger had come apart in the tank and lost it's float.

    Engine mount head scratch......

Having just aligned an engine in my 99 xpl I will tell you to check your alignment tool shaft. Mine is warped slightly so I was constantly off left to right about an 1/8th. I kinda picked the middle and called it. So far so good. I do notice my shaft is not centered in the tunnel through the...

Super easy fix for mpem based battery drain

I bought a 99 xp limited recently and have been fixing / cleaning things up since. When I bought it the po had wired a super cheap battery switch in the back and said "it has a draw I couldn't figure out". Being me and slightly anal about things working correctly I knew it was something I would...

    Engine rebuilders

I just had an engine rebuilt by 5 star services in Michigan. He's local for me and I was very happy with his service. Super fast turn around, good price, and so far everything is good. If you try to reach him he did tell me Friday he was going on vacation for 3 weeks.

    Free seats 98 challenger 1800

I have a set of oem seat bases and foam with new vinyl for a 98 challenger. Burgundy and white. Vinyl is not installed and foam is stripped. I went with new 180 seats instead. I had these for sale most of summer but now I just want them gone. I am in the Ann Arbor area of Michigan if one of the...

Leaving a challenger moored all year round?

You can do that or add an independent battery. I would say a very good cover is minimum but let's see if someone that has experience mooring for long periods chimes in.

Leaving a challenger moored all year round?

Get a lift and a poppy cover. If possible a lift with a canopy in addition to the cover. Also never hook any solar or trickle charger to your battery while connected to the boat.

Need help 99 challenger won’t start

Are you turning the hose off when the motor is not running? You will seriously damage the engine if you run the hose with the engine off or stalling

    Challenger problems.

You don't need to rebuild just clean all of them. I ordered my oil lines in a kit online since I couldn't find the material locally but I think they are 3/32 also about 8'

Bleeding the oil lines and oil pumps

You could try taking the line loose at the motor letting free flow and clamping shut with vise grips once full.

    Challenger problems.

Highly recommend www.osdparts.com You will need about 8' of 1/4 about 6' of 5/16 about 2' of 3/32. Also get a couple of fram G2 filters. Watch the small lines off the impulse pump there is a hidden brass restrictor jet inside the line.

    Challenger problems.

Rebuild carbs, clean rave valves, replace plugs. Fuel lines should be marine grade. Also replace the oil lines and filters.

    BEEPS???

I would put that on the short list to fix the alarm system will notify you of overheating and other things.

Bleeding the oil lines and oil pumps

Gravity should be enough to fill the big lines. Please be careful with your oil tank those are getting brittle and are hard to find if you crack yours. If you used zip ties make sure they are completely tight. I personally mixed a small can of premix and ran my engines off that while on hose to...
