2005 180 challenger having trouble starting

Fuel pump or wiring connecting the fuel pump could be the issue.

    flushed with engine off !

It really depends on how long you let the pump/flush run with the engine off? I did something similar (but only for a few seconds) and everything was fine. I think as long as it was only for a few moments, you should be ok.

How bad did I mess up... Ran without hose for a little bit.

I am guessing that you will be fine. Just don't make a habit out of it. Did the engine do anything funny or sound funny? You are right that the carbon seal can be damaged by running out of the water, but I am guessing you are probably ok. The only way to know for sure would be to put in the...

    Sea-Doo Logo (side metal)

I would just take a heat gun and remove the entire word and start over with a new Sea-doo logo. I did this on my boat and was very happy with it (although it was not the metal look you are seeking).

    2010 255hp challenger winterization.

I have exact same boat as you. I did the winterizing myself the past two years and I did not pinch off any lines. Just pump until you see antifreeze come out. Of course, make sure you start the engine first before pumping the anti-freeze in. Once you've started pumping, turn the pump off...

    OIL Change and winterizing

Thank you for the explanation. Certainly make sense considering the plug is such a cheap part as you said. Plus, they really are not that hard to change. Better safe than sorry I guess.

    OIL Change and winterizing

Honest question. I see a lot of people that suggest changing the plugs every year. I have done it the last two years as well. But people go for years without changing their spark plugs in cars/trucks. Why is it more important with boats?

    Battery Brand Recommendation?

I think most big box store batteries are pretty similar (Wal-mart, Oreilly, Autozone, Advanced, etc.) I've had batteries from just about all of them and most are of pretty good quality if maintained. Most are made by either Johnson Controls or East Penn.

    Trickle Charger

Agree 100% POPPS. When charging batteries on Sea-doo boats or pwc's for any reason, ALWAYS disconnect the battery.

    Don't disconnect battery

When charging your battery, always, always disconnect the battery.

    Rope stuck

I had to take mine to a dealer to get it removed a few years ago. I am hyper cautious now about ropes anywhere near the boat.

Both times I have had bogging down issues they were fuel supply issues.

2011 Seadoo Challenger Paint Color Blue

I bought some from the company in Canada online. It was Riviera Blue and was a great match. Really improved the look of my boat in the area's it really needed it. Here is the link: Home | Gelcote International

2012 SeaDoo Challenger 180 SP Leaking

Could be carbon ring/seal? The mechanics on here can better answer on that, but I have read of leaks coming from that.

I know this sounds simple, but are one of your plugs leaking or missing?

    Challenger 180 Battery

Agree with the above post... don't underestimate corrosion somewhere on the connections. Corrosion on a small wire ruined my entire summer one year. Start at the battery and work your way towards the engine to find the answer.

    Fuel For Sea-Doo Challenger 180

If you run the boat often I think you could get away with a medium grade of gas that has some ethanol. Of course, non-ethanol is the best way to go, but not a necessity. A lot of gas stations that have non-ethanol gas will call it Rec (recreation) gas/fuel and are usually found in the vicinity...
