    Any harm done?

Was winterizing my GTI 2018 this afternoon and the antifreeze was leaking too slowly onto the engine (via garden hose and adapter). Sea-Doo threw at me a long beep after about a minute and I stopped it right away. Any harm done? I tried connecting my Candoo in it but I always get in trouble...

Hope I did the right thing, Sea-Doo 2013 sunken

At 8:00 PM tonight I noticed that the Sea-Doo next dock to mine was sunken (a rented cottage). It had water over the engine. I alerted the owner right away and him and his friend drained the engine bay with a bucket. Once it was afloat, they put the key and gave it one crank but the engine would...

    My old cover is finished

I need a new cover for my GTI LE 2003. I saw some cheaper ones and some very expensive ones. I am on a medium budget. What do you guys recommend? Shipping in Canada. Thanks.

Just checking in after an uneventful summer

So it has been a coronavirus year. I didn’t use my Sea-Doo GTI as much as I hoped for because our beaches were not really COVID monitored and I stayed as far away from them (we all saw the parties on different medias). Note: I have my personal small beach for myself. As a result, I only put 30...

    Winterization question (couple questions)

I downloaded the service manual for my Sea-Doo last night and watched some videos on YouTube on what to do for winterization. In a video by 3feetdeep, it is showing how to remove the IBR module and reach for the cone that contains grease and o-rings, change the o-rings and put some new grease...

Question about capsizing a 4 stroke

Some young folks capsized their Sea-Doo Spark near me tonight and they waved at me because they didn't know how to turn it back up. I told them how to position themselves and the ski was back upright. All in all, it was capsized for about 60 to 90 seconds. I don't think it matters anymore which...

Poor guy (brand new Sea-Doo tale)

My neighbor got today a brand new Wake 155 with ski pylon and a tube to pull the kids. After putting the ski in the water, wife decided to pull the tube. You know where I am going... No experience whatsoever, she sucked the rope after five minutes and when I mean sucked, the whole shaft inside...

    Where is the computer port???

Got my new CanDoo today with two adapters: one for 4 strokes and one for 2 strokes (much bigger connector). On my GTI 2003 LE, where is the computer port? I can't seem to locate it. It is supposed to have one. Thanks.

Just got my new CanDoo Pro! Need a couple answers

Hi guys, just got my new CanDoo Pro. Did all the PC configuring and connected it to my 2018 GTI. Couple of questions. I have C2114 IBR fault but it is not an active fault. What does it mean? I haven't got the maintenance manual yet and BTW, where can I get it for a GTI 90 2018? See attached...

    Did you know?

Did you know that newer Sea-Doo get their time clock from a built-in GPS inside the cluster? I found that out today when checking my settings and then reading the manual. This means that we could be tracked!!!

My turn for a question (maintenance required)

On my GTI 2018 at 46 hours, the "maintenance required" message appeared today on the display. Last service on my ski was done at 30 hours last fall (by the dealer). Can I assume that they forgot to reset the maintenance timer? I am thinking of buying the CanDoo Pro. Is this the place where to...

    Observation 2003 vs 2018

Today I was cleaning up (washing) both my skis on the lake: GTI LE 2003 and GTI 90 2018. Lots of mayflies and pine needles and a bit of algae growing. My 2003 still looks new, people are telling me this all the time. Decals are great, finish is great, feet pads are in very great shape. Only the...

    Finally bought the LinQ system

Finally installed a LinQ system on my GTI 2018. Since it is still under warranty, the dealer installed it for me. They charged me 30 minutes of time. I bought the weatherproof bag (a rigid box with seals). I intend to bring my pro camera with me on some rides to photography wildlife (I am not...

Made myself a buoy (take two)

My thread was erased by mistake. No harm done. To recapitulate: Four cinder blocks, tied together with chain. Four feet of chain, then floating buoys, then mooring snubber 16 inches and then a brass swivel to tie the ski. Total weight of 160 pounds in a cross pattern. The rope in the back is...

    What happened???

My turn for a question (PolyTec hull)

Took my Sea-Doo outside the garage today for cleaning and waxing and for the first time since I bought it last July, took a good look under the ski. My GTI 90 has a Polytec hull and I I started cleaning the sides with a vinyl and rubber cleaner (Maguire). All the side were smooth and well...

    Simple question (plastic rivets)

" Remove the two plastic rivets and the rubber tie securing the battery access" I want to remove the battery panel on a GTI 90 2018 to have access the battery. How to I remove the plastic rivets? Just pull on them gently? They look like automotive push pins pins that often break when you pull...

    Sea-Doo warranty (update)

Hello all. This summer I wrote on a few threads that my new Sea-Doo GTI had some manufacturing issues: compartment cover with fingerprints on the paint and paint crackling, mirror badly assembled and side decals stripped (a piece was literally missing). Three weeks after purchasing the ski, I...
